Yayasan Arsari Djojohadikusumo’s  social programs include health  and natural disaster relief assistances. Health assistance includes examinations of babies and mothers, as well as providing children from disadvantaged backgrounds healthy food for needed additional nutrients. These food packets include milk and  mung bean porridge.

As it sits along the Pacific Ring of Fire, Indonesia is vulnerable to numerous earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Tsunamis often follow earthquakes, as witnessed in eastern and western parts of Indonesia. In 2004, a strong earthquake preceded a powerful tsunami that wiped out cities in Aceh and Nias.

Yogyakarta also witnessed a large earthquake in 2006. School buildings and homes suffered great damage, alongside many historical artefacts and sites, including numerous temples and tombs of Mataram Sultanate  (Pajimatan) in Imogiri. In 2009, another earthquake struck in Pariaman, West Sumatra. Reaching 7.6 on the Richter scale, the earthquake crushed most of the schools, offices, and homes in Pariaman and Padang.

The Foundation consistently gives aid to victims of natural disasters, especially when all or most aid organizations have left the disaster area. The YAD or Yayasan Arsari Djojohadikusumo   assists locals in rebuilding their home and gives economic assistance.
